Our Pigs

We purchase young piglets from a local breeder.  Our pigs are a mix breed of Tamworth, Duroc, and Hampshire.  They arrive at our farm shortly after they are weaned.

Our pigs are raised in an open air building for plenty of shade and our pigs have an outdoor play area to spend time playing in the dirt and mud.  Our pigs are able to dig or root in the dirt, rooting is a natural behavior where pigs use their snout to push and nudge the dirt to find food like roots and insects.  We feed our pigs only non-GMO grains along with surplus vegetables.  They loved the cracked open pumpkins from our organic pumpkin patch in the Fall! It is important to us that we never feed low quality scraps to our pigs for the overall health of our pigs and the impact of the quality of the meat.
